EDITORS NOTE: Bob Barker has been an ACTivist for decades. He starting by using his fame and money to promote spaying and neutering pets. Currently Bob Barker is involved with Mercy For Animals by again using his good name and personal resources to help stop the horrific torture at Christian Farms- a Wal-Mart vendor partner. www.walmartcruelty.com This article may seem unremarkable at first glance but it shows that when we decide to fight for the voiceless, we fight on many fronts. People who don’t understand or believe that the holocaust is real will almost always ask why we don’t spend much of our time and passion trying to get celebrity support. The answer is the same as in many cases- profiteers want to vilify activists because profit is more important to them than morality and kindness and what’s right. So the ones who do, take a risk by coming forward for the animals. If you have come to Empty All Cages to learn, I hope you can think for yourself in deciding if deeply caring activists like Bob Barker deserve to be treated this way.

For five years The Price Is Right has continued on without longtime host Bob Barker, but does that mean he doesn’t deserve an invite to the show’s 40th anniversary special? We think not!
Weighing in on The Price Is Right invite snub, Bob Barker reveals the show’s producers “chose to ignore me, which is fine.” In an interview on Tuesday, the 88-year-old added, “They haven’t even offered me a DVD,” while The Price Is Right producers had no comment.
What could have led to bad blood between the iconic game show and its host of 35 years? A beef over beef, actually.
In recent years, Bob Barker has publicly criticized the show for offering fabulous getaways to the likes of SeaWorld and the Calgary Stampede. In his words, “because I have been critical of them for giving away prizes that I consider inappropriate,” noting the two vacation destinations “are notorious for animal abuse.”
Just last year, Bob Barker, known for advising viewers to “help control the pet population: Have your pets spayed or neutered,” at the close of every episode, was photographed alongside fellow celebrity vegetarian Pamela andersonwhile receiving a Vegetarian Icon postage stamp honor.
Although insisting he isn’t too torn up about The Price Is Right exclusion, Bob Barker did say, “When you celebrate a 40th anniversary, you would think you’d have the fellow who did the show for 35 years there.”
The 88-year-old had planned to watch current host Drew Careydo the celebratory honors on Tuesday, but had marked the show down as airing on Wednesday by mistake. (Empty all Cages would have done the same)

Its unbelievable that Mr Barker was passed over for this event! HE IS The Price is Right! Not only was it rude and inconsiderate on a personal level, it was unprofessional, shows lack of right judgement and they obviously didn’t care about the fans AT ALL! Mr. Barkers light shines bright and he’s making such a magnanimous positive shift on this planet, maybe MORE than any living being being alive, that perhaps there were personal inadequacy issues with the shows developers. Mr Barker was Mr. Price is Right but now he is MR. RIGHT! I just gasp when I hear of The Huge Acts of Compassion he steps up to the plate for! What a Guy! An Angel Walks the Earth! The lengths this man goes to end suffering in the world is unsurpassed by anyone! I want to be just like him when I grow up! God I Love That Man! I remember when I must’ve been 4 or 5,my mother always watched The Price is Right! I didn’t know how much of a hero he would be to me in my 60′s! I do remember his upbeat attitude and contagious smile which was healing for me even as a child living in quite a depressing household. I would like to be able thank him personally for all he does for the animals& planet as well! Goodnight Sweet Prince~
