In October of 2010, the University of Florida refused to comply with Florida State statues and provide the public with documentation about their primate experiments.
In December of 2011, activists won a lawsuit against the University of Florida in Alachua Circuit Court. Judge Martha Ann Lott ordered veterinary records to be released. The Judge failed, however, to order UF to disclose the location of their enslaved primates. Our appeal on this issue will be heard over the summer.
In January 2012, after we began to publish the information awarded in our lawsuit, Vivisector Raymond J. Bergeron filed fabricated and malicious criminal charges against two NIO Florida activists in an attempt to have this campaign shut down.
In May 2012, the stalking laws in Florida were amended to criminalize this campaign and prevent us from publishing public domain information about UF vivisectors. These “NIO laws” go into effect on October 1.
In June 2012, UF petitioned law enforcement to execute a search warrant at the home of the founder of NIO and seize all computers, cell phones, drives, cameras, and other electronics and personal papers. They seek to imprison this activist for publishing public information and, thereby, shut down this campaign once and for all!
Inside the University of Florida, the experiments conducted on monkeys are carried out in full compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and under “strict regulations.” So what are they fighting so vehemently to conceal??? Perhaps they simply want to ensure that roughly $350 million in federal grants will continue to fund their atrocities….

Wake Forest University was granted money to “study the effects of self-administering cocaine on the glutamate system on monkeys.”
Utterly disgusting isn’t it? So many animals die in research each year. There are non-animal alternatives available but vivisectors choose to hurt animals instead. They are sadists. Billions go in university in the US to torture these poor babies. The laws are made only to help elitists make more money. check out this article:
